Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2007-2008 school year at St. Patrick and St. Columban Schools.   I would like to extend a special welcome to the new families that have joined us this year and to those families returning after what I hope was an enjoyable summer! I also welcome the new teachers that have joined our staff this year. Please see the staff list for further details.

Our schools strive to ensure that a quality Catholic education is provided for each and every student that enters our classrooms.  Our objective is to educate each student in a spirit of faith, gospel values, and academic excellence according to Catholic principles and as outlined in the Catholic Graduate Expectations.

We are dedicated to encouraging students to become knowledgeable, creative persons who make responsible choices in their daily lives as well as allowing and encouraging others to do so.    It is the goal of this school to uphold and teach respect for others as unique individuals.

We endeavor to ensure that our schools are a caring, disciplined environment in which the partnership of Church, school, and home nurture and challenge students as they develop their spiritual, cognitive, physical, and emotional gifts.

The strong cooperative relationship that exists between the parents and the staff contributes to a solid foundation in providing this quality education.

I hope you enjoy your time visiting our web site. The parent is the primary educator, and we at St. Patrick and St.Columban Schools look forward to working with families while fostering the growth of the total person. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or would like additional information.

Sincerely yours,

Judy Merkel

Principal

"Be it known to all who enter here, that CHRIST is the reason for our school, the unseen but ever present Teacher in our classes, the model for our staff and the inspiration for our students."
